The Municipality is seeking a motivated and organized Public Works Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of the Public Works Department. This full-time, permanent role provides administrative, customer service, and technical support to the Public Works Manager and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to public inquiries, requests, and complaints
• Process permits, track work orders, and maintain filing systems
• Prepare reports, correspondence, and tender/contract documents
• Support monitoring of maintenance standards, project data, and departmental statistics
• Assist with OHS documentation, staff schedules, invoices, and timesheets
Qualifications:
• Secondary school diploma with relevant coursework
• Administrative experience (municipal or Public Works preferred)
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office; GIS/AutoCAD an asset)
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
• Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence
Hours & Wage:
37.5 hours/week • $55,604.92 – $63,918.50
