The Ad Hoc Museum Committee's mandate is to actively and passionately pursue the operations, management and enhancement of the St. Edmunds Bruce Peninsula Museum located at 7072 Highway 6, Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula.

The Ad Hoc Museum Committee conducts meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at the Meeting Place in Tobermory (20 Centennial Drive).

Terms of Reference

The purpose of the Cemetery Committee is to oversee the operation of the Municipal Cemeteries, being Eastnor, Stokes Bay, Dunk’s Bay and McVicar’s and report on such matters to Council.

The Chi Cheemaun Festival Committee has been established to liaise with the local municipal government, the commercial sector, other volunteer organizations and clubs and residents to organize, attract and expand initiatives and activities relating to the local event known as the Chi-Cheemaun Festival in Tobermory. The Committee shall also provide guidance which will foster and promote the festival to a broadened market.

Terms of Reference

The Climate Action and Waste Diversion Committee will help implement recommendations contained within the Climate Action Plan (CAP that was developed in 2022) which will enable the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula (NBP) to better understand, mitigate and adapt to the impacts of climate change in consultation with Council, Municipal staff, the public and other stakeholders. The Committee will also work with Waste Diversion to ensure the development and implementation of the ongoing Integrated Waste Management Strategy to provide recommendations to Council specific to the Strategy.

The purpose is to promote the protection, maintenance, and awareness of the natural environment within the municipal community, and to provide advice concerning waste diversion and climate change policy, planning and actions to be undertaken the MNBP Council and staff concerning climate change and other environment matters within municipal jurisdiction.

The purpose of the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula Municipal Drainage Committee (MNBPMDC) is to provide advice, recommendations, and oversight on matters related to municipal drainage within the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula.  The committee aims to promote effective drainage management, ensure fair cost-sharing, and mitigate the risk of flooding through collaborative decision-making and the application of best practices.

The Physician Recruitment and Retention Committee's mandate is to be active in the recruitment and retention of family physicians for the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula.

Terms of Reference

The Property Standards Committee purpose is to hear and determine all appeals to Property Standards Orders issued by the By-law Enforcement Officer. To act in accordance with the Building Code Act with respect to committees and appeals to Property Standards Orders, and to promote the general betterment and positive self-image of our community.

The Committee will only meet upon receipt of appeal of an order made under Property Standards.
