Lion's Head & District Food Bank

The Lion’s Head & District Food Bank provides food hampers twice monthly on the second and fourth Thursday of the month.  Clients are entitled to one large hamper per month.  Hampers must be ordered in advance.  Hampers provide fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as dairy products, meat, bread, and non-perishable items.  Emergency hampers can be arranged on an as-needed basis.  Special hampers are provided at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.  To order a hamper email lhdfoodbank@gmail.com or call/text 519-378-8842.  Delivery can be arranged as needed.  Hampers in July and August are provided once each month on the second Thursday. 

Monetary donations are gratefully accepted and can be sent by mail to PO Box 22, Lion’s Head, ON N0H 1W0.  E-transfers can be sent to lhdfoodbank@gmail.com.  In the comment section, please include your email address or mailing address for food bank follow up. 

Tobermory Food Bank

Provides food items, non-perishable items and some frozen food on Tuesday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at 20 Centennial Drive. Grocery cards provided for fresh food purchase. Also provides food hampers at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas in partnerships with local RBC, fire and police. Call (519) 375-7010.

United Way Bruce Grey

United Way Bruce Grey is a vital resource that brings together a diverse group of partners including businesses, labour, government and community residents to create opportunities for everyone to live better lives. 

2-1-1 is a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week service staffed by trained Information and Referral Specialists able to access callers' needs. The public can call for help finding community, social, health and government services, for volunteer opportunities, and also to give donations or gifts in kind.
