Roads & Sidewalks

The Public Works Department maintains approximately 470 kilometres of road and over 5 kilometres of sidewalk. More than half of our roads are hard surfaced with asphalt or surface treatment (tar and chip), while the remainder are gravel. 

Within the boundaries of the Municipality, the Bruce County Transportation and Environmental Services Department maintains Bruce Road 9, Bruce Road 29 and West Road. The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) maintains jurisdiction over Highway 6, which runs north and south through Northern Bruce Peninsula.
