There’s always something happening at the museum! From hands-on activities to community celebrations, our events are designed to spark curiosity, inspire learning, and connect people of all ages with our local heritage.

Summer Youth Programs

Join us for weekly youth programs every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1:00–3:00 PM throughout July and August. These drop-in style programs are perfect for kids and families looking for a fun, engaging way to spend an afternoon at the museum. Each week features new themes, crafts, and activities inspired by our collection and local stories. No registration required—just stop by!

  • Top of the Bruce Woodcarvers Live Demonstrations July 15, 2026

    The Top of the Bruce Woodcarvers are back at St. Edmunds Bruce Peninsula Museum this summer for a series of live demonstrations.

    Visitors are invited to stop by and watch local woodcarvers practice their craft, see works in progress, and learn more about the tools, techniques, and traditions behind woodcarving.

    Demonstration dates:

    Wednesday, July 15 from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM
    Saturday, July 25 from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM
    Wednesday, August 12 from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM
    Saturday, August 22 from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM

    Admission is by donation. All are welcome.

  • “Quilts on the Fence” Show & Sale July 18, 2026

    Join us at St. Edmunds Bruce Peninsula Museum for “Quilts on the Fence” Show & Sale, a colourful summer event hosted with the Tobermory Quilters.

    Visitors can explore an outdoor display of quilts on the museum grounds, browse works from local artists and crafters, and enjoy a special heritage quilt exhibit featuring pieces from the museum collection.

    This event celebrates the beauty, skill, and stories behind quilting, from practical pioneer-era handiwork to the creativity of today’s makers.

    Admission is by donation. All are welcome.

    Please note: this event is weather-dependent, with no rain date.
