Slow Down

Slow down, take a deep breath, and enjoy—both on your way and while you’re here

Things move a bit slower on the Peninsula. It’s one of our best features. And as a visitor, we’re asking you to slow down too. You’re on vacation, so take a deep breath of Bruce County air, turn off your phone, and relax and enjoy.

The Bruce Peninsula is full of life, including endangered and threatened animals like the Massasauga Rattlesnake and many species of turtles. We want to keep them around for many generations to come. Please slow down when you see these species on or near the roadways.

Find out more about how Parks Canada is making it safer for these animals.

The Bruce is a great place to disconnect and reconnect. There’s no need to scroll Instagram when the real world before you is beautiful without a filter. Skip geotagging that epic view. Reconnect with your family and friends and capture those breathtaking moments in your mind and your heart instead.
