Asset Management

Asset Management reports outline the condition, performance, and long-term funding needs of the Municipality’s infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, water systems, facilities, and fleet. Prepared in accordance with Ontario Regulation 588/17, these reports help the Municipality plan, maintain, and replace assets in a sustainable and cost-effective way. They support informed decision-making by showing how infrastructure is performing today and what investments will be needed in the future.

Roads & Sidewalk Needs Study

Roads and Sidewalks Needs Studies assess the condition and performance of the Municipality’s roadways and sidewalks to identify current issues and future maintenance or improvement needs. These studies provide data on pavement condition, safety concerns, and infrastructure priorities. The information helps Council and staff plan repairs, upgrades, and funding to keep transportation networks safe and reliable for the public.

Structure Inspection Reports

Structural (OSIM) reports are condition assessments of municipally owned bridges and large culverts conducted by qualified engineers on a regular cycle (every 2 years). The inspection evaluates the physical condition, safety, and load-carrying capacity of structures and identify maintenance or repair needs. These reports help ensure safe, reliable infrastructure and guide planning and investment decisions.

Landfill Monitoring Reports

Landfill inspection and monitoring reports document regular reviews of the Municipality’s landfill sites to check environmental conditions, compliance with regulations, and the effectiveness of operations (such as leachate control and methane management). They include observations, test results, and any issues that need attention to protect public health and the environment. These reports help Council and the public understand how landfills are being managed and ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards.
