Seniors Active Living Centre (SALC)
The Seniors Active Living Centre (SALC) program supports adults aged 55 and older in leading active, healthy, and socially connected lives. Through a range of activities, workshops, and community partnerships, SALC encourages participation, learning, and connection in a welcoming environment.
Programs support physical, mental, and social well-being and may include fitness and wellness classes, arts and culture, educational sessions, and opportunities for volunteering and peer connection. SALC programming is offered in multiple locations across the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula, including Tobermory, Lion’s Head, and Pike Bay, in partnership with local organizations and volunteers.
This program is funded by the Government of Ontario through the Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility and the Seniors Active Living Centres Program, with additional municipal and community support.

Yoga is new to me and certainly taught me how to relax and breath, something I didn't know I needed help with. I have enjoyed the sessions and will watch for more in the future if they're offered.
Highlights & Happenings
Thank You Shawn!
As Shawn Radcliffe prepares to move away from the Peninsula, we want to thank him for the care, dedication, and energy he has brought to our community.
Shawn’s Chair Yoga was the first program funded through NBP’s SALC and was a success from the very beginning. Over time, the program grew to include virtual Zoom classes as well as in-person sessions in Pike Bay, Tobermory, and Lion’s Head.
Through his welcoming approach and accessible instruction, Shawn helped bring movement, connection, and wellness to seniors across Northern Bruce Peninsula.
We are grateful for all he has contributed and wish him all the best in this next chapter.
NBP’s Senior Wellness Fair Will Return in 2026
NBP’s Senior Wellness Fair will return in 2026, bringing older adults together for connection, learning, and fun.
Building on the success of last year’s event, the fair will once again feature wellness demonstrations, guest speakers, interactive activities, and opportunities to connect with local organizations, services, and resources that support healthy, active living across Northern Bruce Peninsula.
Whether you are looking to learn something new, meet others in the community, or explore programs and supports for older adults, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Stay tuned for more details as plans for the 2026 fair take shape.
SALC Movie Screenings Bring Seniors Together
This spring, NBP’s Seniors Active Living Centre invites older adults to enjoy monthly movie screenings at the Lion’s Head Legion.
Building on the success of past community screenings, the program has grown into a regular monthly series that offers more opportunities for seniors to connect, relax, and enjoy an afternoon at the movies together.
Screenings for April through June are now listed on the calendar, and we look forward to welcoming both returning attendees and new faces.
Bring a friend, settle in, and enjoy film, friendship, and community this spring.
