Water and Wastewater Master Plans - Public Information Centres

The Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula are undertaking separate Water and Wastewater Master Plan studies for Tobermory and Lion’s Head, which will make recommendations on how the Municipality can expand municipal drinking water and wastewater servicing throughout Tobermory and Lion’s Head, based on existing conditions, projected growth and climate risks. Each Master Plan will also identify necessary projects and implementation schedules to ensure timely phasing of future capital projects.

Public Information Centre

As part of the studies, in-person Public Information Centres (PICs) are being planned for each community separately. Each PIC will introduce the public to the Master Plan study and Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process, the existing infrastructure and problem and opportunity statement, the evaluation criteria, the alternative solutions, the preliminary preferred solution for both drinking water and wastewater services, and next steps.

The PICs will occur: 

• Tobermory Community Centre
  • Wednesday, August 27, 2025
  • 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
• Lion’s Head Rotary Hall
  • Wednesday August 27, 2025
  • 1:30 p.m. - 3:30p.m.

For those who are unable to attend in-person, presentation boards will be available for review on the municipality’s website https://letstalknbp.ca/ during the question and comment period following the PICs. The question and comment period will close on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 4:30 p.m.
