Tobermory Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Notice

Sanitary sewer flushing will take place October 27–31, 2025 in Tobermory for Bay Street, Brock Street, Head Street, Carleton Street, Front Street, Eliza Street and Highway 6.

This routine work helps prevent blockages, odours, and equipment issues. During this time, you may notice sounds or odours from your plumbing, or minor water splashing due to air pressure in the lines.

Update: Missed Garbage Collection

Impacted Areas:

  • South West Side of Dorcas Bay Road south of Robert Allen Drive to Johnson Harbour Road

  • South side of Johnson Harbour Road from Johnson Harbour Road to Highway 6

  • South side of Highway 6 from Johnson Habour Rd to Dyers Bay Road

Missed garbage collection (Monday July 14) in the above noted areas will be recovered Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
We apologize for any inconvenience and ask that you put your garbage out on Wednesday. If you are unable to put your garbage out, please hold your bags until the following week or take it to one of the landfills during regular hours of operations.
