Half Load Restrictions In Effect - March 2, 2026

NOTICE: Weight/Load Restrictions in Effect

Effective Monday, March 2, 2026 the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula is implementing weight/load restrictions of 5 tonnes per axle on all municipal roads until further notice.

These restrictions are in place to protect our roadways during the spring thaw, as roads become most vulnerable to damage when frost leaves the ground. During this period, roads will be posted for "half loads" only to help minimize deterioration caused by heavy vehicles.

A follow-up notice will be issued when the Half Load Restrictions are lifted.
