Temporary Road Closure – 2021 Lion’s Head Silent Walk "Can You Hear Me? Together a Walk in Healing"

Event Organizers have placed a request with the Public Works Department to carry out the necessary temporary road closing procedures for the 2021 Lion’s Head Silent Walk to honour the lives of 215 Indigenous children whose bodies were discovered near an Indian Residential School in Kamloops, BC. The Walk will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 and will require the closure of Moore Street west from Helen Street to Main Street (County Rd 29), Main Street (County Rd 29) north from Moore to Webster Street, and Webster Street east to Phillip Forbes, from approximately 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Barricades and signs will be provided by the Municipal Public Works Department. Event Organizers will co-ordinate the placement and organization of the signs and barricades, including providing directional assistance at the open intersections as mentioned above.
