Precautionary Boil Water Advisory - Drinking Water Lifted/Rescinded

Lion’s Head Drinking Water System

The drinking water supply is safe for all uses.
A warning notice under Ontario’s Drinking Water Systems Regulation (O. Reg 170/03) was issued on Nov. 14th, 2021.
The Precautionary Boil Water Advisory has been lifted/rescinded in consultation with Public Health as of Nov. 16th, 2021.
The necessary operational corrective actions were completed and bacteriological water quality test results have confirmed that the drinking water supply is in compliance with Ontario Regulations and Water Quality Standards.

  • If you have not been using the water during the Advisory, please run the cold water taps for at least one minute before use.
  • Run water softeners through a regeneration cycle.
  • Empty and refill hot water tanks/heaters.
  • Residents are encouraged to communicate with neighbours and check on any isolated and/or vulnerable individuals.
