Transportation
Writing of transportation brings to mind three significant facilities which many small rural communities cannot boast of, but NBP is proud to possess the Tobermory Municipal Airport and the Municipally-operated harbours in Lion's Head and Tobermory.
NBP maintains some 470 kilometers of roads and streets, some of which are paved, some graveled while some roads enjoy year round access and others with only availability in the summer.
In terms of highways, Highway 6 is the north south passage way through the Municipality. Bruce County Road 9 (known locally south of Lion's Head as the "East Road") gives drivers the pleasure of a slower paced drive while enjoying the breathtaking scenery that is synonymous with the Bruce.
