The public is welcome at all Council and Committee meetings (including those scheduled for budget purposes).  In order to have the opportunity to speak at a Council or Committee meeting  a delegation must be scheduled with the Clerk. Anyone wishing to view any by-law or agenda document(s) is encouraged to contact the Municipal Clerk on the Friday preceding the Council meeting.

Anyone wishing to view, discuss and/or provide written comments on any by-law (or agenda document) or submit Correspondence for the Council Agenda, he/she shall provide same to the Municipal Clerk at the Municipal Office located at 56 Lindsay Road 5, R. R. #2, Lion's Head, Ontario, N0H 1W0 no later than 12 Noon on the Wednesday preceding the Council Meeting.


The following by-law(s) will be tabled for consideration of passage by Council at its regular meeting on Monday, May 8, 2017 in the Council Chambers at 56 Lindsay Road 5, R. R. #2, Lion's Head, Ontario:
By-law No. 2017-31   Being a by-law to amend the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula By-law No. 2002-54, as amended, being the Comprehensive Zoning By-law for the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula [Part Lot 51, Concession 1, WBR, Part 1, Plan 3R-5992, (St. Edmunds) - 62 Cape Hurd Road]

Temporary Road Closure:  Bay Street South from approximately 10 Bay Street South to the intersection of Brock Street and Bay Street South from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017.

Effective Friday, March 31, 2017, the rural waste disposal bins and the recycling bins at the Recycling Depots located at 2942 Highway 6, Ferndale and 7045 Highway 6, Tobermory were removed to allow the complete transition to the new curbside waste and recycling collection program.  Recycling depots at Waste Disposal Sites will remain and will continue to accept recyclable materials on a permanent basis.  Residents can still dispose of waste and recyclable materials at a Waste Disposal Site during regular hours of operation.  Your continued cooperation and patience during the phase-in of the new waste management initiative is appreciated.  Please contact the Public Works Department if you have any questions or require further information. 

Emergency Preparedness Week (EP Week) - an annual event held during the first full week of May, May 7-13.  This national event is coordinated by Public Safety Canada in collaboration with the provinces, territories and partners.  This year's theme is "Plan, Prepare, Be Aware" which is meant to help Canadians take action to protect themselves and their families during emergencies.

Water sample bottles will be picked up at the Municipal Office on Wednesday at 12:00 Noon.  Water tests should be taken no more than one (1) hour prior to pick-up.

ATTENTION to all groups, organizations and event organizers!  A licence is required to operate a lottery-raffle, 50/50, break open tickets, bingos, etc.  Unlicensed lottery schemes in Municipally-owned facilities are strictly prohibited as stated in the rental agreement.  Please contact the Municipal Office for information.
