Effective Friday, March 31, 2017, the rural waste disposal bins and the recycling bins at the Recycling Depots located at 2942 Highway 6, Ferndale and 7045 Highway 6, Tobermory were removed to allow the complete transition to the new curbside waste and recycling collection program. Recycling depots at Waste Disposal Sites will remain and will continue to accept recyclable materials on a permanent basis. Residents can still dispose of waste and recyclable materials at a Waste Disposal Site during regular hours of operation. Your continued cooperation and patience during the phase-in of the new waste management initiative is appreciated. Please contact the Public Works Department if you have any questions or require further information.
Emergency Preparedness Week (EP Week) - an annual event held during the first full week of May, May 7-13.
